1 Year Anniversary

Well Last week we turned 1 and what a year it has been. We are thankful to all the people, tradesman, electricians, builders, plumbers, locksmiths that made transforming the old antiques center into a modern funeral home possible.  And to all our colleagues and they're hard work.

Also we are incredibly touched by the support of the local community and friends.

So as we look forward to our second year serving the Malvern community we would like to in turn thank all those families who have entrusted us with looking after their wishes.

It's the little things that make a big difference

Funeral Costs on the rise

There have been several news stories recently highlighting the cost of funerals rising by 80% from 2004 to 2014. Is this scaremongering or a real concern?

One thing is for sure is that the costs from suppliers and 3rd parties are rising with some Crematoriums having increased their charges by £150 in the last two years alone. This might not seem much but when you add up all of the 3rd parties smaller rises as well as supplier increases it all adds up meaning that the cost of dying is going up.

It's been a long time due for a blog, we have just been so busy! Our Garden is now growing in the warmer weather and by summer we hope for a full garden of rosemary, lavender and lot's of plants and insects. It really does give a great sense of warmth when you arrive at the funeral home.

We are coming up to our 1st years birthday soon and it has been an honour and privilege to have looked after so many families in the local and wider area in the last 10 months.

This afternoon Malvern Buffets provided us with a cream tea at the funeral home.  Alison really did us proud, not only was all the food served on bone china but it was also exquisite in taste. Each cake and sandwich made delicately by hand with nothing bought in. It reminds me that working with the right local businesses can go along way to enhancing the service that we provide and with Alison's standards this is completely in line with the service we like to provide in getting it right for clients. I have no hesitation in recommending Alison who owns Malvern Buffets for catering no matter what the occasion.

We have finally launched  our online tribute site for obituaries today. This is a free service that we offer to anyone who has lost a loved one as well as clients we are currently looking after. Anyone who would like to have a permanent online tribute page to share memories, photos or even light a candle in memory of then please do not hesitate to contact us.
